The Athletics Federation of India has revealed its 28-member squad for the upcoming Paris Olympics. However, some notable athletes are missing from the lineup.


**Notable Absentees:**


1. **Jeswin Aldrin**: India's national record holder in long jump, currently ranked 33rd out of 32 in the #RoadToParis2024, will represent India as Murli Sreeshankar, who is currently ranked 7th, has pulled out due to injury.


   

2. **Ram Baboo**: Despite having better timings than many in the squad and winning a bronze medal at the #AsianGames 2023 in the mixed category, he was not included. When contacted, he said, "It's all up to the federation. I don't want to speak about this."


**Relay Teams:**


- **Men's 4x400m Relay Team**: The team includes Muhammed Anas, Muhammed Ajmal, Amoj Jacob, Rajesh Ramesh, and Mijo Chacko Kurian. Additionally, T. Santhosh, a 400m hurdler, is also part of the 6-member squad.


- **Women's 4x400m Relay Team**: The team includes Jyothika Sri Dandi, Subha Venkatesan, Vithya Ramraj, Poovamma MR, and Prachi.


**Other Notable Omissions:**


- **Kiran Pahal**: Despite clocking India's fastest time in the last four years (50.92 seconds), she is not included in the relay squad.


- **DP Manu**: Currently ranked 16th out of 32 in the Road to Paris, he will not represent India at the Paris Olympics 2024 due to a doping offense.
