In an ongoing effort to combat the rising issues of alcohol, gambling, drugs, and various other anti-social activities in minority-dominated regions, the Islamic Club and Library of Barpeta Road has been persistently striving to address these concerns. The increasing prevalence of such activities is pushing the societal structure of these areas towards a dangerous trajectory. This evening, the Islamic Club and Library organized an awareness meeting at Gandharipara Chowk Bazaar, a minority-dominated area near Barpeta Road. The meeting was attended by several notable individuals, including eminent physician Dr. Rezaul Karim, retired teacher and former president of the voluntary organization Ainal Haque, the current president of the organization Jahidul Islam, and retired teacher Sofi Alam Ahmed, among others.  The attendees unanimously condemned heinous activities like theft, robbery, murder, rape, violence against women, and the consumption of alcohol, gambling, and drugs.
